How to Choose an SMM Panel: A 10-Point Checklist Before You Deposit

3 min read · Published · Panel Notes

There are thousands of SMM panels, and many look identical: the same template, the same giant service list, the same "cheapest price" claims. The difference shows up after you deposit. This checklist helps you pick a panel that delivers — and avoid the ones that don't.

The 10-point checklist

1. Can you pay the way you normally pay?

If you're in Kenya and the panel only takes PayPal or foreign cards, you'll lose money on fees and conversion — or not be able to pay at all. Look for local options: M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa, MTN MoMo, local cards. Crypto (USDT especially) is a good extra. Our payment guide covers the differences.

2. Does it show prices in your currency?

Seeing "KES 420 per 1,000" is clearer than "$3" when you budget in shillings. Panels that convert for you reduce mistakes.

3. Are start time, minimum and maximum shown before you pay?

A good panel tells you, for each service: how long until it starts, the smallest and largest order, and roughly how long it takes to complete. If those are missing, you're guessing.

4. What happens when an order can't be fully delivered?

Partial deliveries happen everywhere. The question is whether the undelivered part is refunded to your balance automatically, or whether you have to chase support. Automatic refunds are a strong sign of a well-run panel.

5. Does it ever ask for your password?

Instant disqualification if yes. A panel only needs the public link to your post or profile.

6. Is the service list organised?

Some panels dump 3,000 confusingly named services on one page. Better panels group them by platform and need (TikTok → Video Views → options) and use clear names. You should be able to find what you want in seconds.

7. Can you track orders?

You should see each order's status (pending, in progress, completed, partial), the start count and how much remains.

8. Is there real support?

Send a pre-sales question through their support channel. A reply within a few hours, from someone who actually reads your question, tells you a lot. Panels that only have a contact form with no response are risky.

9. Does it offer an API (if you resell)?

If you plan to resell, check for a standard "API v2" with services, add, status and balance actions. Standard APIs plug into most reseller scripts. More in our reseller guide.

10. Are the terms clear?

Read the refund and account policies. You want plain answers to: when do you refund, can you withdraw your balance, what happens if a link is private or deleted mid-order?

Then do the small test

Checklists catch bad panels; only a test shows quality.

  1. Deposit the minimum.
  2. Place three small orders on services you actually need — say 500 TikTok views, 100 Instagram likes and 50 followers on a test account.
  3. Record: how long until each started, how long to complete, and whether the final count matched.
  4. Check again after 7 days to see how much dropped.
  5. Ask support one question and note the response time.

If all three orders behave as described, increase your deposits gradually.

Red flags

  • Prices far below every other panel for "real" or "non-drop" services
  • No refund policy, or "no refunds under any circumstances"
  • Only one payment option, with no way to verify the business
  • Requests for your login, or to "install an app" on your account
  • Support that only replies to "deposit more"

How Exo Gains scores on this list

As an example from the East African market, here is how Exo Gains measures against the checklist:

FAQ

What is the best SMM panel?

There is no single best panel for everyone. The best one for you accepts a payment method you already use, shows clear start times and limits, refunds undelivered orders automatically, and delivers well on the services you actually buy. Test with small orders first.

Why are some SMM panels so cheap?

Very cheap services often use low-quality accounts that drop quickly, or the panel may not deliver at all. Compare price with start time, refill terms and refund policy, not price alone.

How much should I deposit in a new SMM panel?

Start with the minimum deposit and a few small orders. Increase only after your orders complete as described and support answers when you ask a question.
